It wasn’t an easy path to get here. I was rejected for almost 20 years. I tried to sell my first novel in 2004 — and yet Blank came out in 2024. I don’t take any of it for granted and even though I wanted to give up many, many times, I kept going. I just knew I could do it, even though I kept hearing “no.” And so I persevered. With a lot of tears. But it was all worth it.
