I can’t believe it’s been a year, wow. So much has happened and so much still needs to. Congrats on your well deserved 92nd St Y award and on the access of OBJN which I’m appreciating as I make my way through essays by friends and familiar names 🩵
In light of their commitment to "freedom of expression," I can't help wondering if the NBF has had any concern whatsoever about the fact that three of its newly-crowned awardees—Safadi, Tuffaha, and Everett—are signatories to a much-publicized cultural boycott of Israel. For some mysterious reason, I suspect not.
Literally, I'm giving you a standing ovation from my desk in San Antonio, Texas! You embody many of the things I want to achieve and be. Brava Zibby!!!
Wow! You had a novel published earlier this year. Then in 3 months you published On Being Jewish Now after non-stop working on that project. That was your summer vacation. It's fabulous. I'm really enjoying all the contributors. The podcast won two awards yay! The extraordinary woman is YOU for the 92nd Street Y! Congratulations!!! The links here are not working at the moment. They will come back hopefully. You so deserved that award. 💙💙💙 I joined Book Club in January and it has been so much fun! Thank you for doing it. I listen to the podcast. I prefer 5 days a week 😂 but there's only so much you can do. But so many books. Oh no! What do we do? Read and share! Cheers!
Hey Zibby I told my library to buy your book. Note to all: this actually works. Of course it helps to be at the library more than some of the librarians : )
NBF shows they choose books, if not always, but often, by political reasons. And it’s bad because their reason is based on their lack of understanding of history.

Ditto!
Tautology to condemn antisemitism and in the same breath defend the free expression of antisemitism. So glad Owens withdrew sponsorship.
