Thank you Zibby, and your team, for sharing the stories of the Palisades, only one of the many affected neighborhoods of our city. Thank you to everyone for your expressions of love and support. We are filled up by the love and kindness that flows over us. I wondered if it was "frivolous" of me to take some time alone to write, but it was better even than sleep. For the first time all week, I felt like myself.
Sending you and your family strength. You are all together in this and will get through it together. Know that people everywhere are praying for your recovery from this devastating fire. You have each other and you survived. It makes us all realize that things are just things. You will now begin to make new memories. Sending hope and resilience from Toronto Canada.
This is heartbreaking. I am writer and yet, I cannot find the words to use to express the depth of what I want so much to say to you. So I will just hit “post » from New Rochelle, NY, that lies next to Larchmont, NY, not CA, a coincidence or maybe not. Lana Hamon
Thank you, Lana, I have been to New Rochelle. One of my closest friends, the writer Nora Plesent (who also lost her home) grew up in Larchmont, NY. When she moved to Los Angeles, about 17 years ago, she told me she chose the Palisades because it felt like the closest thing to her Larchmont, NY home. xo
Zibby, thanks for the update. I can believe and completely understand why you do not feel like doing upbeat podcasts. Put them on Re-air, girl!!! Thank for for sharing Laura's post. So heart breaking.💔💔 for all. So sorry. Cheers to the fire fighters and first responders!

From across the miles and borders, our hearts ache for all who have lost so much. An unimaginable tragedy.
Heartbreaking and stunningly told. Thank you for sharing her memories, Zibby.
What a gorgeous, heartbreaking essay.
A heartbreaker and a heart-strengthener. Your will, your love, and your words will inspire and survive.
You are so kind, generous, thoughtful and gracious......inspiring to others, thank you.
