Events Assistant; Assistant to Zibby Owens

Responsibilities:
• Help founder Zibby Owens with select responsibilities, including calendar and email
management
• Help Zibby and Director of Events execute all details related to Zibby-hosted events: live meet-ups, live podcast events, retreats, petite retreats, book clubs, salons, most
anticipated book celebrations, awards, and book launches, including managing
spreadsheets, attendees, speakers, gift bags, social media graphics, name tags, and more
• Help coordinate Zibby’s other events and speaking engagements
• Help with On Being Jewish Now tour and Overheard tour events, including fielding press and event inquiries, communicating with organizers, shipping books
• Site visits when necessary; help plan run-of-show for select events
• Travel with Zibby and team for events (~1 day-long petite retreat or weekend-long retreat per month)
• Update events on Substack and coordinate with web developer
• Coordinate with Zibby Media team overall
• Help manage Zibby's Book Club (confirming meeting times with authors, sending out reminder emails, importing new members)
• Help manage/update select mailing lists
• Monitor general info mailbox and respond to/forward inquiries appropriately
Hours:
9 am - 5 pm but availability on email beyond that
In person Tuesday - Thursday with team
Lunch provided when in person
Weekends and evening availability for events
Benefits:
Two weeks vacation plus 3 personal and 2 sick days
Office closed for two weeks over the holidaysHealth insurance if needed
Compensation:
$55K/annually
