Your Vogue article empowered me! I'm a novelist, and I've held back from writing honest, revelatory novels about where we women really are today—how much we need to show our true selves and find acceptance, affirmation, and even love for who we really are. If we women learn to be ourselves and quit pretending and be supportive of each other, we will unleash a power for good that the world needs right now. Let's do it!
Love both this essay and the vogue piece - so honest and real. It is a leap of courage to put yourself out there as a writer - to really put yourself out there and when you reach the reader who needed to hear exactly what you were trying to express - it’s magic - as you say, “it’s why you write.” Well done.
I loved the recent Vogue article and for putting it out there. My love story with my second husband is eerily similar! I felt like you read my journal! But I’m happy to say that we will be celebrating 17 years of marriage this year and still make each other laugh daily. He was one of the few guys who came to New Year New Chapter last month (he loved it BTW) and found your husband’s remarks at the end very touching. He turned to me and said that’s how he feels about me. I don’t mean to sound cheesy because our relationship is not, but having the love and support through all the ups and downs of life is what keeps me sane and going! Thanks for sharing. I continue to be awed by all you do and thanks for letting us in on it!!
I loved the article and I continue to adore everything you put out in the world and share with us. LIFE IS HARD, feeling less alone in the hardships, is key. Can't wait to meet you on the ZibbyVerse tour!
Loved your Vogue article Zibby, I honestly am so moved by everything you write and I think it’s because I can always find someway to relate to what you write and it’s very true, I feel less alone because of it. Thank you
It’s tricky to be brave! Have you ever written something that upsets someone dear to you? St. Anne Lamott tells us to “write as if [they] are dead,” but I’m still not willing to tell the *whole* truth of much when even the shallowest mini-excavation is enough to land me the cold shoulder. I love your vulnerability - thanks for being a great example.
Zibby loved your Vogue article. What a tough place to be in, thank you for your honesty. I never saw this article on "weight" but all those labels of women still exist today and social media makes it worse. Looking forward to your new book and seeing you in New Canaan for ZIBBYVERSE! ❤️
Your honesty, vulnerability and courage to tell the truth are what make you rock! Plus, your awesome sense of humor which we all need right now! Have a great weekend!

Brave on the page and in life. And also just a very good writer who gets right to the heart of the matter!

Aww! You too!
Can totally relate! I was always the girl with "the pretty face." If only I could get slim.
