Canadian teacher and author Amy Lin is a beautiful, giving, poetic, deeply talented soul. She wrote a bestselling memoir for Zibby Books, Here After, about the sudden loss of her late husband and the vortex of grief that followed. The book has helped so many others get through their own grief.
Now Amy has suffered another horrible loss and needs our help.
A freak electrical fire caused a massive house fire at her home in Calgary, Canada. According to Amy, insurance has called the damage a “huge and complex” loss. The external structure is standing and has survived but the interior and all the contents are extremely damaged. The house, which she built brick by brick after the loss of her late husband, is unlivable, likely for at least 8 months as demo begins. It is unknown if any of their things can be salvaged.
Insurance is only covering some of the damage. Please donate to the GoFundMe to help Amy. She doesn't deserve any of this.
The funds will be used to replace the contents of her home and help provide her with temporary housing while she rebuilds. Please share this with your networks to help her get through this difficult time. Thank you.
Zibby -- your generosity and heart here has completely cracked me open. Thank you so much. I am can't say it enough.
