So much to love in this post. Big things, small things, in-between things. Thankful for the community you’ve created and that I feel so at home in this space. 💙

What a beautiful, heartfelt post - it gave me all the “feels” and made me cry!! At a time when the world is upside down it is reassuring to know that people still care about what is most important - family, friends, connection, community and gratitude for the little things. Happy Thanksgiving and thanks for all that you do to make the world a better and brighter place 💗

I love this and I was waffling on whether or not to make chocolate chip cookies for my guests but your description of a perfect one has now tipped the cookie decision desk to, “YES!” I mean really, life’s too short not to make the cookies…

Well, Zibby, you had me teary eyed reading this beautiful grateful piece. You are so lucky to have such demonstrative loving children, supportive loving parents who have been with you every step of the way, and what sounds like a perfect husband at your side. While some might resent all your help at home and the fact you are financially able to have that staff, they are like extended family surrounded by the love and appreciation you have for them. You are so fortunate to have so much, but you share so much in both your tireless work and connections. As for your tireless work that seems 24/7, I don’t know how you do it, but I feel lucky to benefit by it - by your interviews, recommendations, writing, and connections. You have me on board now and ongoing. Thank you for all you do, and Happy Thanksgiving!

This is so lovely. It made me want to make my own list and really notice and appreciate all I have and all I see around me. That is a gift in itself, so thank you. On my list: I am grateful for you and your boundless energy and all you do for authors and readers!

I worked in children's books for 20+ years and that book is a winner--can't wait to read it and I'm already casting the movie in my head. Kids lit is way more title-driven than other publications (Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing, Captain Underpants, Spy School, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, etc)--maybe a different, more outrageous title would help it get more attention?

Oh interesting. I can change it!

Happy Thanksgiving! I love all of these...especially the ones of your younger kids and mom because I’ve been lucky enough to meet them and watch how you all interact. You know I’m a big fan of “now we’re friends” and I’m very grateful to have made so many new friends because of you and to be able to call you my friend.

Hi Zibby! Your list reads like a poem-so rhythmic and meaningful. I’m sorry to have missed you at the Miami Book Fair. When I saw your company name pop up on the screen as a sponsor, I told my husband, yes, you “won the birth lottery,“ but you have created a beautiful community with that fortune. It is a welcome addition to the worlds of publishing, writing, and reading. I am thankful for your work and your gift to us.

I so loved this list, and it sparked inspiration to write my own today on Thanksgiving! Thank you.

Our community (Rye,NY) has a Women’s Interfaith Council which meets monthly and is supported strongly by each House of Worship. It is probably the most wonderful group I have ever joined. Each year we also read one or two books, and the discussions are enriching. Last Sunday we had our Interfaith Thanksgiving Service-awesome! A moving moment at the end was seeing the clergy recess lead by the Cantor and the Episcopalian minister hand in hand(yes, both women). If every community had an Interfaith Council... imagine!

Thank you Zibby for all you and your team do for all of us!🤷🏻‍♀️🙏
